Mark Ronson

Mark Ronson is a British singer, born on 4th of September in 1975. He is married to well-known French actress and model Joséphine de La Baume. Being student of New York University, Mark started to dabble in DJ art and worked in many night clubs of that fine city. Producer from Elektra Records liked one of his gigs in 2001, and paved the way for his first album – “Here Comes the Fuzz”. Despite guest appearances from better known musicians such as Nate Dogg and Ghostface Killah, album flopped and publisher was not pleased. Mark had to found his own label to continue his career and thus Allido Records was born. For Mark, 2007 began with presenting successful covers of other artists such as The Smiths and Bob Dylan, and ended with release of critically acclaimed album “Version”. It was supported by a tour in United Kingdom and EU. He continued to slowly climb the ladder of fame, as every next album was better than previous one. So, while “Record Collection” was good, “Uptown Special” was even better. It broke up to fifth spot on Billboard 200 and became platinum in USA, gold in UK with critics labeling it nostalgic fantasy and giving mostly favorable reviews. His more recent single “Uptown Funk” won two Grammy Awards in 2016.
