Biography

Lady Gaga is a stage name of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, born on March 28, 1986. She is an icon of modern electropop and dance pop, replacing Britney Spears as most well-known female singer. Before getting into music business she studied for a while at Tisch School of the Arts in New York, eventually dropping out to fulfill her ambitions. Her first stable job in this industry was writing songs for Sony’s music department. Thanks to meeting with producer RedOne, she was able to begin work on debut album. And then, “Fame” came out in summer of 2008, with critics praising its novelty and masterful re-imagining of 1980’s themes. Earnings from this release allowed her to open so called Haus of Gaga, fashion workshop inspired by Andy Warhol. After this she did what supposed to be deluxe edition of “Fame”, but turned into re-release with lots of new tracks. It sold almost two million copies in United States alone. It won Grammy as Best Pop Vocal Album. Lady Gaga continues to deliver memorable and provocative live performances and music videos in 2011, when two famous singles – “Born This Way” and “Judas” are released. Former also gives its name to full-fledged album a little later. As of 2017, this talented artist released six full albums, constantly improving her image as best stage musician since Michael Jackson.
