Cee Lo Gree is a talented American rapper and songwriter. He became famous as a frontman of the worldwide known duo Gnarls Barkley. He was born on May 30, 1974, in Atlanta.
He first appeared in the group Goodie Mob. In 2002 he started the solo career. In 2005 Cee made friends with Danger Mouse and together created Gnarl Barkley. Next year the singer was invited to become one of the judges on The Voice. He spent 3 seasons in the project and made a break till the 5th season.
In 2006 Gnarls Barkley released their first album “St. Elsewhere” The lead single “Crazy” instantly became an international breakout. It hit No.1 UK chart and stayed there for several months. In 2008 the duo released their second album “The Odd Couple”. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the same commercial success as the previous one.
Cee returned to the solo career and released “F*** You” in 2010. The hit instantly received more than 2 million likes. The single debuted at No.1 on U.K. charts and got 5 Grammy Awards nominations. Later Cee remade it into “Forget You”, which got, even more, success.
