Vanilla Ice Arrested For Breaking Into A House And Theft

Rapper Vanilla Ice was arrested Wednesday, and police say he had stolen furniture, a heating device for the pool water and other items from a neighbor's house in South Florida.

Police searched on Wednesday Van Winkle Robert's house, real name of the rapper Vanilla Ice, and found objects that had been stolen in recent months, according to a press release from Lantana Police Department. The searched house is under construction and is where Vanilla Ice is filming the latest project for a reality TV show called "The Vanilla Ice Project" for DIY television network.

The rapper, famous for the song "Ice, Ice, Baby", met with investigators and provided an affidavit, before being arrested, the police statement said. Vanilla Ice will be indicted for breaking into a house and theft, according to police chief in Lantana, Sean Scheller. First appearance before a judge is scheduled for Thursday morning. Vanilla Ice, aged 47, is especially famous for the song "Ice, Ice, Baby", which was one of the hits of 1991. Among the albums released by Vanilla Ice are "Hooked" (1989), "To the Extreme "(1990)", Extremely Live (1991) Hot Sex (2003).

He was rewarded with two American Music Awards, in 1991, when he was nominated for Grammys and won a People's Choice Award for the article "Ice, Ice Baby".
