At the last American Music Awards Green Day shocked everyone when they included the chant “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist U.S.A!” into their song. Their performance was the most talked about moment from the AMA. The song Greenday performed was “Bang Bang” and they went on to James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” on November 22th and performed the song again.
The band’s leader, Billie Joe Armstrong opened up to Corden and said that this was their way of showing their opinion regarding the current president elect, Donald Trump. Billie Joe Armstrong even admitted that the chant was not invented by them and they just borrowed it from another band called MDC.
Green Day’s top hit album “American Idiot”, released in 2004 was directed specially to George W. Bush’s presidency, and we can surely expect the band to drop another album that shows us their opinion about Donald Trump.
