Sting will release a new rock album
29.07.16

Sting was involved in many projects in the last 17 years, but none involving rock or pop music.

But it seems that this does not happen again because the artist will launch on 11 November the album "57th & 9th" which will combine the two genres mentioned above.

"It’s not a lute album. It’s rockier than anything I’ve done in a while. This record is a sort of omnibus of everything that I do, but the flagship seems to be this energetic thing. I’m very happy to put up the mast and see how it goes." Sting told the Rolling Stone magazine.

The album was produced by his manager Martin Kierszenbaum, and among the musicians who helped him with this include Vinnie Colaiuta, Dominic Miller, Jerry Fuentes and Diego Navaira from the band The Last Bandoleros. The songs included on this material were described by Sting as "gloomy ballad".

One of them is called "50,000" and was made a few days after the death of Prince.
