Simple Plan have revealed details of their long awaited disc. "Taking One For The Team" is the fifth album of the band and the first album released in the last 5 years. It will be available starting February 19, and soon will also be pre-ordered. The band will also start a European tour, and tickets go on sale starting Friday, December 4th. "We are very excited to announce the first tour to promote our new album, "Taking One For The Team". These European gigs are the first of an international series which we will announce soon. Cannot wait to hear the new disc and go on the road again", said those from Simple Plan.

"Taking One For The Team" is preceded by a trio of new songs, all included on the disc, "Boom", "I Don't Want To Be Sad" and the single "I Don't Wanna Go To Bed" (ft. Nelly). The clip of the latter can be viewed on the band's YouTube channel and is inspired by the popular series of the 90s, "Baywatch", enjoying even the appearance of David Hasselhoff.

"Taking One For The Team" marks the first disc signed Simple Plan after in 2011 was the release of "Get Your Heart On" which enjoyed positive criticism from some prestigious publications as Entertainment Weekly, People and Alternative Press. Simple Plan were made globally noticed due to their unique style that defy classical patterns, combining classic punk energy of the sound of modern pop.

Since they founded in 1999, the band originally from Montreal, has achieved sales of over 7 million copies. Its eponymous album released in 2008 proved to be a blockbuster reaching the first place in "Top Pop Albums" from iTunes, but also in the top three in Mexico, Japan Brazil and their native Canada. Simple Plan have been involved in numerous philanthropic campaign initiated by its own foundation.
