11.06.11

After a hiatus of five years, Red Hot Chili Peppers make a comeback, with a new album set to release this year in August. Quoted on the official website of the band, was an announcement saying that the tenth album of the band “I’m With You” will be released this year on August 30th. Rick Rubin is the mastermind behind the set, who is also a part of the to-be released albums by Metallica and Avett Brothers, and worked very recently on Adele’s “21”.

After the 2006 release of “Stadium Arcadium” by the band, which sold roughly 2.3 million copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, the Chilli Peppers plan to release “I’m With You”. This is the first album by the band after the departure of guitarist John Frusciante in 2009. His place has been taken by Josh Klinghoff.

Many rumors have surfaced claiming that a hit single by the band “The Adventures of Maggie Raindance” will be released on July 18. However, no one from the band has confirmed the reports.
