The 63 year old singer, Meat Loaf, managed to frighten the pants off of his fans on Thursday, July 28th, at the Trib Amphitheater in Pittsburgh’s, when he fell unconscious on the stage, clearly due to an asthma attack.
After Meat Loaf was done, singing out loud the final note of his 1992 classic, “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)”, he buckled over and remained fallen on stage for nearly 10 minutes, as was reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
A video, taken off the fall, displayed hoards of staffers rushing to his rescue, while the band members slowly began to lose the rhythm of the song, after gaining realization of the reason behind the chaos. Incredibly, Meat Loaf recovered quickly and even continued to finish the concert. He provided, the concertgoers, with an explanation behind what happened, before entering into his sensational hit, “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.”
"I f****** fainted. I have asthma ... I can't breathe ... and then ... oh wait, I forgot ... I got poked by a pin and bled half to death ... and then I got slapped in the face and my tooth is loose."
He will next appear at a concert in Columbus, Ohio, on 30th July (Saturday). In May, the singer had declared that he is in the process of recording his latest album, titled “Hell in a Hand Basket”.
