We’ve got bad news for rap fans everywhere, Lupe Fiasco is officially quitting rap. On December 13th, the prolific rap artist stated in a Twitter post from his official page that his rap carrier has ended and that he is going to stop working on his new albums. This is bad news especially since the rapper had three new albums planned for 2017 and now it seems like we’re never going to be able to enjoy them.
Everybody has to be wondering why the artist just straight up ended his rap career so abruptly. The reason for that is because of the backlash he received from the rap community regarding a new track he released on SoundCloud. The track is called “N.E.R.D” and it contains rhymes such as: “Artist getting’ robbed for their publishing/ By dirty Jewish execs who that it’s alms from the covenant”. These lyrics made fans accuse Lupe of Anti Semitism and the artist got so mad that he quit rap.
