After Lorde launcher her latest album, she did a few concerts and after that the artist was never to be seen. The young musician has been known to shy away from media, but last night she made a quick appearance at the annual Ally Coalition Talent Show that took place in New York, where Lorde sang a Robyn cover.
Lorde has made it clear by now that she is a big fan of Robyn, and the artist’s forthcoming album is highly inspired by Robyn. The crowd went crazy when they saw Lorde on the sage, especially since the artist wasn’t expected and also because she was accompanied by Jack Antonoff.
The song performed by the two artists was a stripped down cover of Robyn’s “Hang With Me” top hit. Worth mentioning is that the event was spearheaded by Jack Antonoff and his sister, and the two siblings managed to gather $100,000 that they donated to the LGBTQ community.
