Invited to Zane Lowe's show on Beats 1, the eccentric Lady Gaga has revealed that the new album is named after her aunt, "Joanne".
The artist said that the material is dedicated to her aunt who died in 1974 at the age of 19.
It seems as though she knew her, her memory was kept alive by the entire family of the artist. The new album will be released on October 21.
