Jordan Sparks acknowledges that, till now, she has received nearly a hundred queries on Twitter, regarding the launch of her current third incomplete album. The previous “American Idol” winner has declared that she wishes to take it slow, in order to perfect her new album, which will be released as a follow-up to her 2009 album “Battlefield”, which she previewed through the launch of her new single, last spring, titled, “I Am Woman.”
The 21 year old singer stated, “I’m still working on it and I don’t really want to rush because I want it to be right”. Earlier this year, she has been reported to have recorded a few tracks with John Legend, along with the production duo, Underdogs, for her latest upcoming album. "['I Am Woman'] was definitely something to give my fans different to chew on, something a little bit edgier with more attitude… I want the music that I put out -- and especially after putting out 'I Am Woman' -- to make sense and be cohesive."
Meanwhile, Jordan Sparks has been acting, as an ambassador, for VH1’s Save The Music Foundation, sponsored by Energizer, appearing in a special concert, held at New York’s Time Square, on the morning of July 28th. She exclaimed that she was absolutely ecstatic about being a member of this campaign, which aimed at promoting education of music in public schools in America. The singer performed some of her classic hits on stage, including “No Air” and “Battlefield”
Moreover, Sparks claimed that lately she has been “trying to hone the other side of my artistry” by appearing for an audition for several feature films. She is aiming to further extend her acting skills on the small screen, after having performed on “Big Time Rush” and providing a voice-over for “Nick Jr”.
"I wouldn't mind guest-starring on a law show or something. I love all the criminal shows, 'CSI,' 'Law & Order,' and 'House' as well, all the medical shows," suggested Sparks. "Hopefully I'll have some time to go to an acting coach and really try and perfect that."
