Jay-Z loves to use his fame in order to bring attention to other matters. He often associates himself with charities just to give them additional attention which serves their purpose. However, Jay-Z gets even more involved when it comes to personal matters. As you might already know, the rapper known as Meek Mill was recently incarcerated and Jay-Z decided to show his support for him.
Jay-Z is known for being outraged by the prison industrial complex and for the fact that most inmates are black people. Therefore, Jay-Z decided to bring up the incarceration of Meek Mill and give his comments on the sentence during his latest performance. This all happened during Jay-Z’s “4:44” tour stop. Nonetheless, Jay-Z played one of Meek Mill’s tacks and ended the performance by saying “Free Meek Mill”.
