The documentary about the life of Amy Winehouse appears at the end of this week, and we can see one of the exciting moments of the film - one in which she registered a hit - Back to Black. In the background we hear Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse producer with whom she worked and who says he does not understand why people consider her spoiled.
Moreover, Britain has a huge respect towards the way that Amy wrote her verses:
"The really respectful thing about the movie is you are reminded why she was famous in the first place—she was a genius, that’s the stuff even I can forget. I forget that when I played her the piano chords to ‘Back to Black,’ she wrote the lyrics in an hour. I was blown away; people just don’t write lyrics like that any more.”
“It was just one of those serendipitous things. I just caught her at that magic moment, and she was just ready to get it going,” he says. “That’s why I couldn’t understand what everyone else was saying about this procrastinating, troubled artist.”
Amy documentary is directed by the same man who did Senna, another acclaimed movie, and contains footage from concerts and her personal life, critics have already said that we will rediscover Amy Winehouse with this movie. Mark Ronson continued her successful production career and this year topped the charts with the song Uptown Funk, a super featuring with Bruno Mars who made Billboard history. Meanwhile, he began to promote other singles from the album Uptown Special - Feel Right and I Can't Lose.
