We have bad news for music fans worldwide, George Michael passed away at the age of 53. BBC recently reported that the musician has “passed away peacefully” on Christmas Day in his home in Oxfordshire, England. George Michael was surrounded by his family during his last days and the reason for his death was heart failure.
George Michael was the founder of the Wham!, a duo which shook the music world with hits such as 1984’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”. Michael was the front man of the band and in fact he was also the one in charge with the lyrics. The artist left the band in 1986 and started pursuing a solo career and this was the right choice because George Michael became one of the defining pop starts of 1980’and 90’s. The whole world mourns his death and not he will not only be remembered as a pop artist but as one of the most influential gay pop artists of all time.
