Future's new song is composed by DJ Clue and contains a sample of the famous song "Careless Whisper" by George Michael released in 1984. The single called "Rockstar" initially had to get on the album "Honest" but Future's plans didn't went by the book and the song was excluded from the list of 12 selections that the rapper liked.
As the title of the new single suggests, "Rockstar" is the way that Future chooses to boast with its life-like: "All my ice and all my trees, all my b**ches in love with me/ Rockstar life, the life we lead, surrounded by rock stars." Nicki Minaj's musical contribution is also not far from the main message of the song "Rockstar".
