Most artists love to stick with one genre of music, but it seems like this doesn’t suit Ed Sheeran. The reason we are saying this is because Ed Sheeran made it clear that his upcoming album is not going to be pop. The Grammy Award winning recently went on an interview where he let the entire world that he is done with pop music, at least for the moment.
This is what Ed Sheeran said in the interview: “The next record that I’m making is not a pop album. The reason it’s not a pop album is because people expect it to come and the next album they’re going to be like it’s got to be bigger than “Shape of You” and it has to sell more than this”. Nonetheless, knowing that Ed Sheeran is one of the best musicians in the world and we can be sure that whatever music genre he creates next, it’s going to be awesome.
