Legendary singer Elton John, subjects to bed rest after suffering from a severe respiratory infection that brought him down to the Los Angeles hospital a week ago, as stated by David Furnish, his civil partner.

Furnish was genuinely overwhelmed by the warm wishes received by John’s well wishers and went on to inform the media reporters in London at the Glamour women of the year award ceremony, “He is in the process of recovering and doing remarkably well.”

Millions of fans are looking forward to Elton’s live performance of Billy Elliot’s “The Musical” in London in celebration of the 3000th West End performance.

Elton is expected to resume his summer tour on the 1st of June, Friday starting from Germany. It was outstanding to see that the infection did not affect the rock star’s plans and he graciously suggested, “It's nothing more than a chest infection, you rest and it's better. Everything that's planned is still happening.”

John’s website relayed a highly enthusiastic message by him, suggesting how overwhelmed and excited he is to accompany Paul McCartney and Kylie Minogue in the performance in Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
