Target stores are eyeing the release of Beyonce’s “4” Album, of which they plan to market an exclusive version with an extra number of songs. The album is set to be launched on June 28th. For now it is not known how many extra songs will be available. Contradictory statements from few sources have been pouring in; some putting the number at four, others claiming, the decision has not yet been made final. A number of reports made online have come up with a list, not yet conformed, for a European exclusive edition, containing six extra songs such as “Lay Up Under Me”, “Schoolin’ Life” “Dance for You” and three remix versions of “Run the World (Girls)”.
According to sources, Sony Music Entertainment plans to distribute around 1 million copies of the CD version of the album. However, no comment has been officially made by Target or Sony as yet.
3 of the tracks from her album have been already released: “Run the World (Girls)”, “1+1” which she sang on the season finale show of American Idol and “Best Thing I Never Had” which came out last week.
