After financially unsuccessful merge with Nextel company entered downward spiral and was eventually bought by Japanese investors SoftBank. Sprint was always distinguished from other American service providers by having a great variety of client programs suited for geography and demographics of particular area. Sprint Rural Alliance is a great program of crowd-transmitting of signals, and Bring Your Own Device is a socially responsible program aimed at reducing the number of perfectly working devices being thrown away due to appearance of more modern models.
