Ubiquitous, popular, and not even old enough to drink yet, Justin Bieber has inspired both adoration and ridicule as only a teenaged pop sensation can. At the tender age of twelve, Bieber instigated a bidding war between Justin Timberlake and Usher when YouTube clips of him performing covers of Timberlake, Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder made the rounds in 2006. Usher’s label Island Records emerged victorious, and Bieber moved from Ontario to Atlanta, Georgia to learn his craft under Usher’s wing. His debut album My World was released in 2009, with the single “Baby” charting across the world. With the release of his biopic/concert film Never Say Never in 2010 and his R&B-influenced album Believe in 2011, Bieber’s place on the pop charts is secure for the foreseeable future--like it or not.
