Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode is one of the most talented electronic bands from the UK. It was created in 1980 in Essex. It was founded by Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy Fletcher. In 1981 the band debuted with the album “Speak & Spell”, which made them popular on the British music scene. Vince Clarke soon left the group to release his “A Broken Frame”. In 1982 Alan Wilder joined the group. He remained in Depeche Mode during further 13 years. Since 1995, the band has been functioning as a trio. Their album “Black Celebration” and “Music for the Masses” made them a real superstar of mainstream electronic music. Soon they gave a concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, which was visited by 70,000 people. At the beginning of a new century, the group released “Violator”, which got outstanding success all over the world. During their career, the band got 50 songs to hit UK Singles Chart. 13 of their albums reached top 10 in the United Kingdom. Q included Depeche Mode into the list “50 Bands That Changed the World”.
