Aloe Blacc (Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III ) is a popular American soul singer. He was born on January 7, 1979. He is best known for outstanding hits “I Need a Dollar” and “Loving You is Killing Me”.
After participating with hip-hop producer Exile in the group “Emanon”, Blacc decided to start his own solo career. In 2006 Aloe released his first album “Shine Through”. It was highly praised by notable critics, which contributed to his tour across U.S and Europe.
His popularity increased with the second album “Good Things”. A single “I Need a Dollar” brought him millions of fans. The single even became the soundtrack for “How to make it in America”.
After a worldwide known hit “Wake Me Up”, which he co-wrote with Avicii, Aloe became more visible on a music scene. The track climbed to No.1 in more than 20 countries.
He is married to Aussie rapper Maya Jupiter. In 2013 they became parents of a beautiful girl Mandela. This year Aloe also released his third album “Lift Your Spirit”. The track “Wake Me Up” was included in the track list.
